Michael Hoebler is a percussionist, composer and teaching artist with over twenty years of performance experience in venues throughout the United States and Canada. Educated at Florida State and Duquesne University, he is a skilled teacher and strong advocate of arts in education. A member of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Teaching Roster and a featured artist with the International House of Blues Foundation, Michael has facilitated hundreds of workshops and residencies and has been recognized for his work at the local, state and national level.
In 2007, Michael founded LifeDrums, an arts-based company which creates programming and products for schools, companies and communities.
In 2008, Michael composed, directed and performed his all-original stage show, Rhythm Kitchen, which premiered at Dante Hall Theater of the Arts in Atlantic City, NJ.
As a performer, he has performed in venues as diverse as Kennedy Center in Washington D.C, legendary rock club CBGB’s in New York City and PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA. Michael was percussionist and Musical Director for the Hamid Circus, which toured the country. He continues to perform in clubs, casinos, lounges and concert venues throughout the East Coast.
